The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2024) for medical, dental, AYUSH and nursing courses in India on May 5. Through NEET 2024, admission will be granted to a total of
91,827 M.B.B.S. ( Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery),
27,698 B.D.S. (Bachelor of Dental Surgery),
52,720 AYUSH (Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa and Homoeopathy),
525 BVSc. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) and
AH seats including
1,899 A.I.I.M.S.( All India Institute of Medical Sciences) and
249 J.I.P.M.E.R. (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research )seats.
NEET UG 2024 will be conducted in pen and paper/offline mode.
The NEET 2024 application form will be released on the official website.
The NEET 2024 application form will be accessible from the first week of April 2024 until the last week of May 2024.
The minimum age limit is 17 years as of December 31, of the year of admission for students belonging to all the categories. Hence, for candidates to qualify for the lower age limit, they must be born on or before 31st December.
The age barrier for appearing in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for MBBS had been set at 25 years for general category students and at 30 years for those in the SC/ST/OBC categories.
The tentative date for the NEET UG exam 2024 is on 5th May.

A total of 20,87,462 students registered for NEET UG 2023 out of 20,36,316 appeared for the exam and 11,45,976 cleared the exam ( 9,02,936 male, 11,84,513 female, and 13 transgender students). Prabhanjan J from Tamil Nadu and Bora Varun Chakravarthi from Andhra Pradesh have secured the top positions in the medical entrance examination, both scoring a perfect 720 out of 720.
45,000 candidates score between 500-619
11.4 lakh candidates qualified for NEET-UG 2023, with 2.3 lakh scoring 400+ and over 45,000 scoring between 500-619.
In NEET UG 2023 total 8,90,150 OBC candidates have been registered, out of these 8,73,173 OBC candidates appeared and, in NEET UG 2023 total 5,25,194 OBC candidates have been qualified.in NEET UG 2023 total 60.14% OBC candidates have been qualified.
In NEET UG 2023 total 6,07,131 Un Reserved (UR) candidates have been registered, out of these 5,92,110 UR candidates appeared and, in NEET UG 2023 total 3,12,405 UR candidates have been qualified. in NEET UG 2023 total 52.76% UR candidates have been qualified.
For the year 2023, the pass percentage as recorded in NEET Result 2023 is 56.21% which is 15.5% more than that of 2022.
